Welcome to La Saladita — a surfer’s paradise hidden on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of wave-riding behind you, this mellow point break is pure magic. Here’s everything you need to know before paddling out.
Why La Saladita?
La Saladita is famous for its long left-hand point break. It’s often called the "Wave Machine" by longboarders for a reason.
Best for: Longboarders, beginners, and intermediate surfers.
Wave Type: Smooth, peeling left-handers.
Crowds: Friendly and relaxed, but growing.
Best Season to Surf
Winter (Nov–Mar): Consistent chest to shoulder-high waves. Chill vibes.
Summer (May–Aug): Bigger swells for more experienced surfers.
What You’ll Need
Board: A longboard is ideal, but you’ll also see funboards and fish shapes.
Wetsuit? Nope. Just surf trunks and sunscreen. The water stays warm all year.
Local Tips
Respect the local lineup — it’s friendly, but keep the aloha alive.
Hit the beach early to avoid the wind.
Stay hydrated and chill under the palapas between sessions.
Ready to ride the glide? La Saladita is a wave you’ll never forget.
